Gilberto Gil
For All

The godfather of the Tropicália movement, multiple Grammy Award-winning Brazilian singer-guitarist Gilberto Gil, returns to Washington with a concert of the danceable, funky, folkloric rhythms known as forró. His latest project, For All, features the reinvention of the celebratory Baião music of northeast Brazil.

As a singer, guitarist, composer, and diplomat, Gil has played a key role in the modernization of Brazilian popular music and culture throughout the world. His career has spanned four decades with over 30 albums released, six gold records, four platinum singles, and five million records sold.

Gilberto Gil's tour is sponsored by American Airlines.
