National Endowment for the Arts Presents
NEA NATIONAL HERITAGE FELLOWSHIPS CONCERT
Celebrate our nation's top folk and traditional artists at the 2012 National Endowment for the Arts National Heritage Fellowships Concert.
This concert will spotlight our country’s diverse traditional arts heritage with music ranging from Tidewater gospel quartet the Paschall Brothers to the bluegrass music of local dobro player Mike Auldridge, and the innovative klezmer music of Andy Statman. In addition, learn more about traditional crafts such as basketmaking and boatbuilding from the artists who keep these traditions alive. Nick Spitzer, host of public radio’s American Routes, will emcee this evening of conversations, demonstrations, and performances.
