KanKouran: Women's Work

For nearly 30 years Assane Konte, co-founder and Artistic Director of KanKouran West African Dance Company, has staged authentic glimpses of the peoples and cultures of Africa. This year's concert production entitled “Women’s Work” is a compilation of original works choreographed by the women of KanKouran, performed by KanKouran’s Senior Company, Junior Company, Children’s Company, and community class participants. In addition, the performance will feature traditional works by KanKouran’s own, Assane Konte.
