The Smithsonian Resident Associates Program presents
Laura Bush: Speaking from Her Heart
In this special evening, former First Lady Laura Bush is interviewed about her unique life’s path from her childhood in the oil boom-and-bust culture in dusty Midland, Texas to the White House. She talks about how her role in the White House—and on the world stage—changed dramatically in the aftermath of 9/11. Copies of her book Laura Bush: Spoken from the Heart (Simon and Schuster) are available after the program. See the April Associate for more information about this program. Purchase
