Capital Funk

The World Bank/International Monetary Fund meetings for Spring 2009 will be held in Washington, DC, on the weekend of April 25 - 26, 2009. Street parking will be very limited near the auditorium. Please leave extra time for arrival.

"Capital Funk is the one and only hip hop dance crew of The George Washington University.  The purpose of Capital Funk is to promote growth, awareness, respect, commitment and entertainment through hip hop culture within The George Washington University, the Washington metropolitan area, and throughout the east coast.  With its members spanning from all backgrounds and corners of the world, Capital Funk promotes unity through dance and hip hop; above all else, Capital Funk is family.

In an effort to promote our mission and unite the urban arts community in a fun, large-scale, and non-competitive production, Capital Funk is pleased to present its 2nd Annual Capital Funk Showcase 2009 "The Block Party". The show will take place on Sunday, April 26, 2009 at the GWU Lisner Auditorium in Washington, DC.  This year's showcase will feature the amazing talents and skills of hip hop dance crews, spoken word artists, MCs and beatboxers."
